Cyclones dominate Northside 11-6

The Russellville Cyclones pounded the Fort Smith Northside Grizzlies 11-6 on Monday at M.J. Hickey park.

Russellville outscored the Grizzlies 9-2 in the first three innings. Northside scored three in the top of the sixth and one in the top of the seventh. The Cyclones asnwered with two in the bottom of the sixth.

In the first inning, Joel Barker scored Bryson George on a double. Barker crossed plate on Michael Mullen's RBI-double. Mullen scored on a single by Ryan Meador.

Courtesty runner Craige Defransico scored on an error by the Northside catcher to make it 4-1.

In the second inning, Cole Dawson and Barker scored on an error at shortstop, followed by Meador's two-RBI double to score Peyton Golden and Mullen.

Barker scored George in the bottom of the third to make it 9-2, and Meador signled in Mullen, followed by a sacrifice fly by Ryan talley to score Defransico to set the final score.
Reed Rispoli picked up the win. He went five innings, gave up six hits, two earned runs, walked two and struck out four. Eli Thomas and Cole Hathcote each pitched an inning to close. Thomas gave up two hits, three runs, walked one and struck out one. Hathcote gave up two hits, one run, walked one and struck out three.

Russellville collected 10 hits against Northside and gave up the same.
