The Bryant Hornets rallied for a 7-4 win over the Northside Grizzlies on Thursday.

Northside (6-18, 3-5) took a 4-0 lead in the first inning. They still held a 4-2 lead in the fifth before the Hornets rallied with five runs.

Joe Mills, working in relief of Josh Jordan, suffered the loss, allowing six runs and five hits.

Jackson Scrivner had two more hits for the Grizzlies to raise his batting average to .397. Scrivner started the scoring with a one-out single in the first.

Grant Johnson’s RBI single extended the lead to 2-0, and Bobby Rauch delivered a two-run single.

Johnson had two hits for the Grizzlies.

Conway 10, Southside 2

The Conway Wampus Cats scored in every inning but two Thursday on their way to beating Southside, 10-2, in 7A-Central play.

Reed Hughes paced Conway (14-3, 8-0) with two hits and three RBIs.

Colton McBride and Griffin had RBI singles for the Mavericks. Jake Melton was 2-for-3 to raise his team-leading batting average to .333.
