Felix Curry
Coach Felix Curry graduated from MIdland Valley High School, S.C. in 1987 where he was a defensive back for the football team and sprinter for the track team. After high school Curry attended Mars Hill College, N.C. where he was a 4 year starter at free safety and voted Team Captain his senior year. He graduated in 1992 with a B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education. In 2004 he attained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Troy State University in Augusta, Ga. and in 2006 he attained a Specialist’s Degree in School Administration from Cambridge College in Augusta, Ga.
Curry is in his 7th year at Northside as Defensive Coordinator & DB Coach for the football team and Head Boys Track Coach. Prior to moving to Fort Smith, Coach Curry coached 20 years in the State of Georgia.
(2010 - 2013) Curry coached 3 years in Hall County, Ga. where they were Conference Championship as DC/DB coach at Flowery Branch High School in football season 2012.
(2006 - 2010) Curry was in Gwinnett County as DC/DB Coach and Assistant Track Coach at South Gwinnett High School and Greater Atlanta Christian School. While at GAC Curry was Assistant Coach for 2008 “Girl’s State Championship Team”.
(2001 - 2006) Curry was Head Football Coach for Glenn Hills High School where he was named “Augusta Chronicle Head Coach of The Year” in 2003.
(1999 - 2001) He was at Bainbridge High School as DB Coach and Track Coach. Where he coached “2008 NFL Super Bowl Champion and NY Giants starting safety James Butler”.
(1997 - 1999) Curry was DC/DB coach at Chattooga County High School.
(1994 -1997) Coach Curry was DC/DB coach at TW Josey High School where he was on the “1995 15-0 Georgia State Championship Team” and where he coached “2012 NFL Super Bowl Champion and NY Giants starting safety Deon Grant.”
Coach Curry is married to Cartrina Curry. They have 3 sons, Felix Jr., Darius, and Justin.
