The Northside Grizzlies were edged, 14-7, on the road at Pine Bluff on Friday.

Pine Bluff scored a touchdown on its fourth play of the game, and added a two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead. The Grizzlies came back later in the first half as quarterback Deuce Wise connected on a 40-yard TD pass to DeAron Robinson. Jose Paredes added the PAT to get Northside within a point, 8-7, but it was as close as the Grizzlies would get.

The Zebras added another TD in the third quarter for the final seven-point margin.

Northside (1-2) returns home this Friday as the Grizzlies take on Bryant in the 7A-Central opener.
